July 2011 – Luglio 2011

July was a long-lasting hug, began in Lisbon and ended in Timişoara.
July is a picture which reminds to me that Life is more, a lot more, than days flowing away unnoticed.

It is a book which I open when I call Diogo from the airport and I tell him about a problem with the flight, I tell him I will fly directly to Lisbon, where he works. I close it while the taxi is heading to the airport of Timişoara and the driver talk with me. Maybe I should have asked him Unde esta budă?

I feel like Life found my address. Maybe I found her or maybe it is just that I am so lucky to have fantastic friends from West to East of Europe.
You know, I feel that I should sit for a while, take a glass of San Simone and slowly absorb every moment, from the beach of the ocean to the songs about Carpatian mountains. I should find a way to blend this experience in my blood and bring it always with me.
Ricordo parlare di radici accanto all’acqua. I write for a lot of reasons. One is to remember. I would like to stop the image of piata Onirii in my heart, the expression of Viktor when I met him under the bridge, nice dressed. I would like to sit again with Diogo in front of the ocean, hug once again Daniel. Dance like idiots with Flavia. And I do not find the right words. I look for that in a mix of Italian, Portuguese, English, Rumenian, German (sort of). Words are poor, Italians know that and they speak with their hands. I remember talking about roots along the river. Enter the taxi and close the door on this travel, on this month.
Grazie a tutti.A Diogo, Daniel, Flavia e Viktor soprattutto. A Laura, a Robert. Thanks to everybody. In particular to Diogo, Daniel, Flavia and Viktor. I do not know how I managed to deserve such incredible friends. And to Marcello, Andrada, Paula, Ami and Andrea.
And Laura and Robert. To the ones who travelled with me: Sara and Daniele. Thanks to time which stopped, to not distract me from Living. Sometimes one week-end is enough to remember what is important. Five week-ends of July can, maybe, wake you up.

Ok… but there is still something…

…something I should show you…
